The problem

Just like sales, there's a lot of deadlines and accounting and chasing down customers who owe you money. You send an invoice, you set a reminder, you forget about the reminder, and suddenly it's two weeks past due and you haven't followed up.

The emails themselves are simple — "Hey, invoice #1234 was due on the 15th, attached for reference" — but remembering to send them on the right day, with the right invoice attached, for every customer? That's where things fall apart.

What TextForge does for me

Using TextForge, I can automatically attach invoices from our Dropbox where we save them all. Then I schedule follow-ups using TextForge's Schedule Send feature and make sure that if an invoice is supposed to be paid net-30, an email will go out the day after it was due if the customer hasn't paid yet.

One less thing I have to remember to do inside my system. TextForge just helps automate it and makes it very easy for me to compose simple template-driven emails to follow up with people about their billing status.

What changed

Invoices get followed up on automatically now — the right email goes out on the right day with the right invoice attached. It's one less thing I have to remember. Schedule Send handles the timing, and I just review and approve.

Customers get reminded promptly instead of whenever I happen to notice the deadline passed. That means faster payments and fewer awkward "hey, about that invoice from six weeks ago" conversations.
