Part of doing business with large entities — including governments — is a lot of vendor onboarding paperwork. TextForge automates 80-90% of it.
Most vendors all ask different versions of the same sets of questions. They want access to our W-9. They want to ask us a standard security questionnaire that we do three times a quarter. All the same stuff over and over again.
It's some of the most tedious, unpleasant work in running a business. And when you're transacting with large entities including governments, there's a lot of it.
Using TextForge, Claude Code, and some components that can manipulate Microsoft Office formats, I can largely automate the process of filling out 80 to 90 percent of this paperwork using data from Notion and data from our Dropbox.
Claude will author a draft, upload the completed documents — usually in PDF format — via the attachment API and send it. It all works seamlessly with the normal workflow we used to have when humans filled all this stuff out.
Before we send the paperwork back, I review it. That's it. The review step is the only part I do manually now.
80 to 90 percent of the paperwork is automated now. Claude pulls the data from Notion and Dropbox, fills out the forms, converts everything to PDF. It handles Word docs, Excel sheets — whatever format the vendor needs.
That's several hours a month I used to spend on the most tedious, unpleasant part of my job. And the vendor gets the same professional response they'd get if a human filled everything out manually. They can't tell the difference.
